About the role
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Undertake acute mental health and alcohol and other drug triage, crisis assessment, and safety planning, exercising clinical reasoning, problem solving and clincial judgement commensurate with level. This includes the provision of intensive outreach assessment and support as an alternative to acute inpatient admission.
- Work collaboratively with key partners and stakeholders, including Emergency Services, NGO's and other organisations, to influence health service outcomes and support improvements to clinical and organisational work practices through effective liaison, formal partnerships, memoranda of understanding or protcols and ongoing engagement
- Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within the clinical service area and actively participate in quality and service improvement / research activities that enhance the delivery of clinical services and support achievement of key performance indicators.
