About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to coordinate and support Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings for Cancer Care Services (CCS), serving as the central point of communication for all administrative tasks. Responsibilities include organising and facilitating meetings, managing patient data entry into relevant systems, and promoting administrative policies and practices. The role also involves recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Responsibility for the effective coordination and management of MDT meetings involving CCS, including:
    • Dissemination of information within the team.
    • Preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, and conference room bookings, facilities, and equipment.
    • Recording and monitoring of clinician membership and participation at the meetings.
    • Development and review of meeting protocols in consultation with the Chairperson and MDT members.
    • Identification of needs for improvement in meeting procedures and suggestions to the MDT members, and implementation and evaluation of agreed changes.
    • Organisation of meeting venues, e.g., room set up, availability of meeting resources, and technical equipment prepared and in good working order.
    • Organisation and management of catering requirements for meetings in line with hospital policy.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of patients for presentation at the MDT meetings utilising hospital scheduling systems and/or Queensland Oncology Online (QOOL).
  • Ensure all patient information required for discussion at the MDT meetings is available and timely by informing appropriate departments of results required and locating/collecting patient records.
