Your Key responsibilities:
- Develop statewide/system service needs analysis, statewide plans, system positions and other statewide planning products, to inform future service, policy, governance, planning and purchasing/commissioning decisions.
- Undertake health service/system research and critical analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and information to identify future priorities and issues for Queensland Health, to inform the efficient use of resources to create a sustainable health system, influence health service delivery and reform, and maximise the health gain for the Queensland population.
- Develop and present research, analysis, options and recommendations for strategic policy and service/system planning activities based on international, national and state current evidence/practice.
Role fit
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Ability to develop service planning or system planning products in a large, complex service delivery organisation.
- Strong research and critical analysis skills including the ability to translate health literature, analyse data (at a minimum, experience with Microsoft Excel is required) and information to develop a range of products including system assessments, strategic or statewide service plans, reports, briefs, discussion papers, submissions and presentations.
- Ability to project manage, complex and time-critical projects, including the ability to respond and adapt to changing priorities and competing demands.
