This role is suited to either a Nurse or Health Practitioner, provides vital support, education, interventions and advocacy to reduce harms from substance use for individuals, families and communities. It strengthens local responses across all ages through non-judgmental, evidence-based care. The role promotes safer use, supports overdose prevention initiatives such as the Take-Home Naloxone program, delivers therapeutic interventions, improves access to healthcare, and guides culturally safe pathways to treatment and recovery.
As a Clinical Alcohol and Other Drugs Harm Reduction professional working in Torres and Cape HHS, your contribution in helping treat, rehabilitate and improve the lives of patients is huge!
