About your opportunity

The Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (CCL) and Day Procedure Unit (DPU) supports the cardiac services within the Townsville Hospital to preform Interventional and Diagnostic Angiography, Electro Physiology Studies and Pacemaker and Defibrillator insertion on urgent and elective cases. The Clinical Nurse will provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients and nursing staff within the CCL and DPU unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $113,979 to $122,048 p.a. (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Highly Desirable: Extensive experience in Cardiac Catheter Lab.
  • Highly Desirable: Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in cardiac nursing would be well regarded.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
