Project Officer
Business Support Unit; Office of the Deputy Director General; Infrastructure; Brisbane flexible
Join the Office of the Deputy Director‑General as a Project Officer (AO5) and support delivery of Queensland’s infrastructure priorities. Using your strengths in project coordination, communication, stakeholder engagement and analysis, you will provide high‑quality project and business support across finance, HR, procurement and governance activities. You’ll assist with project delivery, prepare briefings and reports, monitor progress, and support decision‑making through accurate, timely information. Working collaboratively in a high‑performing team, you will help solve complex problems, manage competing priorities and contribute to efficient, effective operations across the Infrastructure group.

Your Opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, customer focused and fast paced environment. You will provide project and business support across a range of corporate functions, including finance, human resources, procurement and governance, contributing to the smooth delivery of infrastructure programs.
Working closely with senior leaders and project teams, you will support complex problem solving, manage competing priorities and deliver high quality outputs to tight timeframes. You'll also gain exposure to executive level processes and decision making, building valuable capability in project delivery and government operations.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Provide project and administrative support using established project management approaches, including scheduling, reporting, governance, procurement and stakeholder engagement.
• Deliver high quality business support across finance, HR, procurement, travel and records management to ensure effective operations.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and provide timely advice and updates to project managers.
• Prepare and contribute to high quality briefings, reports, submissions and other materials to support government decision making.
• Coordinate and track internal business requests, ensuring approvals, documentation and timeframes are met.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including across government agencies.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture and continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.
