Your new role:
This is an influential executive leadership opportunity based at Eight Mile Plains, leading Metro South Health's Adult Mental Health Service and providing strategic direction and operational oversight to deliver safe, high-quality and person-centred care. The role works across all campuses within the portfolio, including Woolloongabba, Redlands and Logan.
- Provide single point accountability for Adult Mental Health service delivery, ensuring safe, timely and high-quality clinical care aligned with Metro South Health strategic and operational priorities.
- Lead service planning, workforce management and clinical governance across the service, with responsibility for staffing, budget, service targets and key performance indicators.
- Partner with members of the Addictions and Mental Health Executive to drive strategic initiatives, strengthen service performance and deliver contemporary, sustainable models of care.
- Provide expert leadership and advice to the Executive Director, Addictions and Mental Health on service priorities, operational performance and opportunities to improve patient and workforce outcomes.
About you:
You are an experienced and values-driven executive leader with a strong track record in leading complex mental health services and delivering high-quality outcomes in large healthcare environments. You bring strategic oversight, sound clinical governance and a commitment to person-centred care, while building strong partnerships across teams and services.
- Provide executive leadership and accountability for Adult Mental Health clinical practice, service delivery, and patient outcomes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, operational plans and service targets.
- Demonstrate expertise in clinical governance, compliance and quality improvement, fostering safe and sustainable services while meeting organisational standards.
- Lead with integrity and sound judgement, with proven experience managing budgets, delivering against KPIs and guiding teams through complex change and emergent or crisis situations.
- Build strong partnerships through highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, influencing across multidisciplinary teams and health service partners.
