About the role
- The purpose of this role is to deliver a senior level ultrasound imaging service within the Department of Medical Imaging, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) and the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS). This position will be required to participate in an “on call” service and/or a shift roster providing seven days per week, 24-hour service coverage.
- This role is linked to planned expansion of medical imaging services within the Herston campus (RBWH/STARS facilities).

- To deliver a senior level of imaging service with a high-level knowledge across a variety of ultrasound areas: general, emergency, women's and breast.
- Demonstrate high-level independent clinical judgment of complex and varied nature and manage challenges or change calmly and effectively.
- Perform all approved examinations with compassion, respect and integrity.
- Provide a patient focused imaging service that is professional and timely.
- Demonstrate high performance and teamwork in all aspects of the medical imaging department, including participating in training and education of all stakeholders and all quality and safety requirements.
