Within this, our Physiotherapy team takes a holistic approach to preventing injury, managing pain and restoring movement at every stage of life - supporting patients from acute care through to recovery and beyond, helping them get back to what matters most.

About the role:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical support to the Physiotherapy team providing delegated screening assessments, prescribed treatments, and initiating adjustments based on standardised assessment tools under the supervision of a Physiotherapist.
  • Educate patients and groups on key topics, lead group and individual treatment sessions alongside Allied Health professionals and collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, prepare and manage clinical environments and equipment, and participate in quality improvement activities to support efficient, patient-focused service delivery.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to less experienced Allied Health Assistants while working in both hospital and community settings across CQ.

About you:

  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification such as Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) is highly desirable, combined with demonstrated knowledge and ability to apply allied health principles including the healthcare system, medical terminology, basic anatomy, general medical conditions, and strong computer literacy.
  • You communicate clearly, work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain a clear understanding of your scope of practice in a fast-paced and complex healthcare environment.
  • You show a proactive approach to quality improvement and a willingness to contribute ideas and activities that enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • You deliver delegated assessments and treatments with confidence, accurately following clinical direction, adapting using standardised outcomes, and supporting patient education and group sessions under supervision.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $82,130 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $34.53 - $36.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
