The Cairns Hospital, Hospital in the Home Service includes a dedicated, generalist-skilled Senior Medical Officer (SMO) within a multidisciplinary team demonstrating enhanced clinical performance, operational efficiency and patient safety.

About your new role:

In your new role you will…… 

  • Active participation in MHATOD service strategic and operational planning including recruitment and retention, driving quality improvement activities, and ensuring high level team function and communication.
  • Delivery of education and training to junior CHHHS MHAODS medical staff, medical students and all mental health clinicians.
  • Be responsible for providing excellent clinical governance under the director and leadership of the Mental Health & ATOD service Clinical Director and Service Director.
