Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse within the Early Psychosis Team, you will provide advanced specialist mental health nursing care to consumers experiencing complex mental health needs, while delivering clinical leadership and contributing to positive recovery-focused outcomes for consumers and their families/carers.
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, care planning, risk assessment and evidence-based mental health interventions for consumers within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, applying expert clinical judgement, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to complex presentations.
- Support and mentor nursing staff, students and colleagues through clinical leadership, education, supervision and the promotion of best-practice standards.
- Contribute to service improvement through quality activities, research, clinical audits, change management initiatives and adherence to safety and professional practice standards.
About you:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced mental health nurse who is passionate about delivering recovery-focused care and fostering positive outcomes for consumers, families and carers.
- Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, supported by substantial experience in mental health nursing and advanced clinical practice.
- Demonstrated expertise in mental health assessment, risk management, care planning and the delivery of evidence-based interventions for consumers with complex mental health needs.
- Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and support the development of others.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, quality improvement activities and the application of contemporary mental health nursing knowledge, research and best-practice principles.
