About the QBCC
As Queensland's independent building and construction regulator, we play a critical role in protecting people, supporting industry and building trust in a system that touches every part of our community, from safe homes and liveable communities to jobs and economic security.
We support a $69 billion industry by protecting consumers, ensuring the industry is well supported, providing a safety net through the Home Warranty Scheme, and proactively delivering education.
A thriving building and construction industry benefits us all. But it only works when people feel informed, enabled and protected. That's where we come in.
We support industry, protect consumers and uphold standards. We make fair and transparent decisions, deliver services that build trust, and support a strong, sustainable industry.
About the role
In this role, you will develop, write and publish engaging internal communications while also creating clear, targeted external messaging for audiences such as licensees, home owners and industry partners. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to translate complex technical information into accessible, audience-friendly content, all while maintaining strong brand consistency across every touchpoint.
This is a high-impact role at the centre of how the QBCC builds trust with the community and supports a safer, more informed building and construction industry across Queensland. You'll bring strong organisational and time management skills, along with sharp analytical thinking, to navigate complexity, prioritise competing demands and deliver meaningful communication outcomes.
Working collaboratively within a high-performing Team, you will provide guidance, coaching and direction across a multidisciplinary communications team.
About you
We are seeking a skilled professional to lead end-to-end marketing and internal and external communication campaigns, ensuring delivery within defined budgets and timeframes.
Your skills and experience will ensure the seamless delivery of integrated activities across multiple channels, driving consistency, creativity, and strategic alignment. This is an opportunity to influence how information is shared at scale, champion best practice, and elevate communication standards across the organisation while contributing to meaningful public outcomes.
You're a strategic marketer and/or communicator who combines creativity with evidence-based decision making. You're comfortable influencing stakeholders, navigating complex environments and balancing competing priorities to deliver on-time and on-budget outcomes.
You will also bring experience in maintaining brand governance and ensuring corporate identity consistency, with a marketing degree considered highly desirable.
How to apply
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter 1-2 pages outlining a marketing or communication campaign you've led, including a brief overview of objectives, approach and outcomes and how you tailor messaging for different audiences
