We are seeking an experienced and collaborative educational leader to join the school leadership team as Head of Special Education Services (HOSES).
Following the allocation of a full-time position, Tivoli State School is now recruiting permanently to this key leadership role.
The successful applicant will lead inclusive education practices across the school and work collaboratively with staff, students, families and external agencies to support improved learning and wellbeing outcomes for students with disability.

The school has a strong reputation for supporting every student to achieve success, with a significant proportion of students identified on the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
Your Opportunity
The Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) plays a key leadership role in advancing inclusive education practices and supporting improved outcomes for students with disability and diverse learning needs.
Working collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies, the HOSES leads the development, implementation and monitoring of quality teaching, learning and support programs to ensure all students can access and participate in education on the same basis as their peers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading individualised planning and case management processes.
- Supporting teachers to implement effective adjustments, differentiation and inclusive practices.
- Monitoring student achievement and wellbeing data to inform decision-making and targeted support.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, policy and departmental requirements.
- Building staff capability through coaching, mentoring and professional learning.
- Contributing as a member of the leadership team to whole-school improvement priorities.
