About the Team
Children's health Queensland Hospital and Health Service offers hospital and health services for children and young people across Queensland and northern New South Wales. We deliver a full range of clinical services, tertiary level specialist care and health promotion programs. We work with healthcare partners and families to make sure the care we offer is safe, accessible, high quality and person-centred. The Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH) provides children's health services for children and young people from birth to 16 years of age and up to 18 years for established paediatric patients.
About the Role
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
- Responsible for clinical leadership for enhanced patient flow and journey for long stay and sub-acute patients and optimised activity through the application of advanced clinical knowledge, skills and competency according to contemporary practice and standards of care
- Responsible for providing safe, compassionate care, integrating quality frameworks and Planetree philosophy of caring for each patient's psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical care needs. This supports achievement of best clinical practice and individualised patient care and outcomes
- Maintain high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills to inform and train the healthcare team of clinical practice updates and research findings within the Operations Centre.
- Responsible for the content expertise in SNAP, long stay coordination and discharge, to provide the highest standards of safe quality care and to meet the requirements for person centred care.
