Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse within the Yugaipa Mental Health Inpatient Unit at Redland Hospital, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care to consumers with complex mental health needs while supporting the development of nursing practice and service excellence.
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, care planning, coordination, and specialist mental health nursing care for consumers with complex presentations.
- Lead and support nursing and multidisciplinary teams through expert clinical decision-making, mentorship, shift coordination, and role modelling of best practice.
- Drive quality and safety initiatives through participation in clinical audits, risk management activities, service improvement projects, and adherence to National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
About you:
You are a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse who thrives in a complex mental health environment and is passionate about delivering person-centred, recovery-oriented care.
- Demonstrated experience in mental health nursing with advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support healthcare teams while fostering a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused culture.
- Commitment to professional excellence, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and ongoing learning, with postgraduate mental health qualifications viewed favourably.
