About the role
Permanent part time opportunity to work collaboratively with the Clinical Nurse Consultant of ICS to provide advanced clinical expertise and care related to Extra Corporeal Membrane Services (ECMO) and other advanced haemodynamic modalities within the unit, as well as maintain relevant databases.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Apply advanced specialist clinical knowledge, experience, and clinical skills in in advanced haemodynamic modalities and ECMO in ICS.
- Apply critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills and clinical judgement in relation to ECMO, and other advanced haemodynamic modalities.
- Respond appropriately to, and provide support and direction to manage, sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/person using advanced nursing assessment and intervention skills.
