About the role
Fixed term temporary full-time or part-time opportunity to provide continuity of midwifery care within a Midwifery Group Practice model, supporting women and families across pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. You will deliver evidence-based, woman-centred care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve safe, high-quality outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Apply clinical midwifery expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of woman and baby centred care.
- Develop in partnership with women individualised care plans for antenatal, postnatal and intrapartum care and may extend to women's health, sexual or reproductive health, preparation for parenthood and childcare.
- Maintain woman and baby safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting.
- Respond appropriately to sudden alterations in the health status of the woman and baby using comprehensive midwifery assessment and intervention skills.
