About us:
The Community Forensic Outreach Service (CFOS) is a team within the broader Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS). CFOS provides high level clinical risk assessment and therapy services for the management of mental health consumers who have committed, are alleged to have committed or are at risk of committing an offence.
A newer component of CFOS service delivery is the CFOS Therapy Service (CTS), providing formulation-driven therapy and psychological interventions targeting problem behaviours, including stalking, sexually deviant behaviour, fire-setting, intimate partner violence, and grievance driven threats/ violence.

About your role:
- Provide specialist high level knowledge, skill and evidence base as part of the multidisciplinary team, in the application of complex mental health and forensic mental health assessments and therapies. Ensure the assessments and therapies are responsive to the needs of clients, the treating team, the client's families, significant others and the wider community.
- Have demonstrated ability to adapt established standards / principles to the provision of mental health and forensic assessment and clinical therapy services.
- Provide joint assessments with the mental health treating teams and collaboratively review management plans.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with community mental health services in the Cairns, Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Services.
