Student Support Officer - West End State School
Metropolitan South Region, School and Regional Operations and Performance Division
We are seeking a dedicated Student Support Officer to join our Engagement Team within West End State School. This role supports students to actively engage in learning by assisting teachers in classrooms, building positive relationships, and promoting inclusive and supportive learning environments.
The successful applicant will work closely with students who require additional encouragement to participate, helping to improve attendance, support connection, belonging and overall engagement in education.
Knowledge of Dr Amy Berry's Engagement Continuum and experience working with tier 3 supports is preferable.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:
- Innovate data capture management systems and develop subsequent intervention strategies.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with students, parents, community and elders, and provide input into local decision making to ensure optimum outcomes.
- Liaise with families and conduct home visits to encourage school attendance and to motivate students.
- Liaise with students and families to recognise any educational, social, emotional or behavioural issues.
- Work within a team based management approach as a contact for students, families or community members regarding any concerns.
