Wavell State High School is seeking a passionate, creative, and innovative individual to join our Marketing Team as the Marketing and Events Officer.
Working closely with the Principal, the successful applicant will play a key role in supporting school events, marketing initiatives, communications, and
community engagement.
This exciting role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic school environment and is passionate about promoting student success and celebrating school achievements.
This position is offered on a part-time basis at 55 hours per fortnight (0.76FTE).

About the Role:
As the Marketing and Events Officer, you will assist in the development of innovative marketing and communication strategies and the coordination of special events for the school.
Responsibilities Include:
- Website development.
- Managing Platforms - Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Creating and scheduling posts - including writing captions and preparing content.
- Organisation of professional photographers or videographers as required.
- Editing photos and video from school ceremonies and assemblies, student achievements and highlighting classroom learning.
- School events such as sporting events and celebrations.
- Coffee Carts and liaising with external stakeholders to plan schedule and resource.
- Supporting events officer role.
- Uploading and storing media on internal systems.
- Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Business Manager or Principal.
About You:
It would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:
- Basic graphic design capability.
- Social media marketing and advertising experience.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
