About the Role
- Provide excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with parents, patients, members of the public and departmental staff both in person and over the telephone.
- Answer enquiries and provide accurate advice and support to clients and staff on all matters relating to Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. Ensure all clinical enquiries are referred to the appropriate clinical area/clinician or supervisor and determine if customer requests can be met, as well as ensuring confidentiality is maintained in line with Queensland Health's Code of Conduct.
- Work autonomously or with limited supervision, utilising discretion in the absence of decision makers by establishing work priorities, ensuring work is completed within designated timeframes and achieving work targets, whilst being responsible for the quality of work undertaken.
- Contribute to team goals in a changing environment and solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
- Ability to undertake additional administrative tasks as directed by the Administration Team Leader whilst demonstrating high work ethics. This may include procedural bookings and revenue related roles.
- Maintain harmonious and productive working relationships and contribute towards being a team member working within a dynamic work area.
- Experience using clinical computer systems to record demographic and Medicare details (e.g. HBCIS, ieMR and Radiology+) ensuring accurate, high-quality data.
- Provide assistance to other staff within a team structure to ensure priority tasks are completed and deadlines are met.
- Adhere to relevant Queensland Health policies, standards and relevant legislative requirements, providing feedback on recommendations for improvements to Line Manager.
- Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resources management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
