Your new role:
As a Senior Psychologist, you'll provide expert psychological assessment, intervention and consultation services to patients accessing the Metabolic Surgery Assessment Clinic and associated Endocrinology services. Working within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in delivering patient-centred care while contributing to service development, quality improvement, research and clinical education activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality psychology assessment, therapy and evaluation services
- Manage a complex clinical caseload with a high degree of professional autonomy
- Provide specialist psychological input within multidisciplinary case discussions
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based clinical practices and protocols
About you:
You are an experienced and compassionate psychologist who thrives in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. You bring advanced clinical skills, strong communication abilities and a commitment to evidence-based practice. You enjoy mentoring others, driving service improvements and delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
- Advanced experience delivering psychology services within complex clinical settings
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based assessment and therapeutic interventions
- Excellent communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience managing complex caseloads and competing clinical priorities
- Demonstrated capability to supervise, mentor and develop junior staff and students

About us:
Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Neuropsychologists and Health Psychologists are employed within the Psychology Department, Division of Allied Health & Rehabilitation, and within outreach and specialist services including the Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Service, Transitional Rehabilitation Service, Alcohol and Drug Assessment Unit, Rehabilitation In-reach Team, Pathways Team and Persistent Pain Service. They are also integrated into the QEII Hospital and service units and teams within the Metro South Addictions & Mental Health Service and Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Service.
