Ophthalmology Vitreoretinal Registrar or Senior Registrar (Fellow)

This role will also be responsible for carrying out audits required for the Department.

About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to provide clinical care under supervision (both direct and indirect) and acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfy relevant specialist college and medical board requirements needed to practice as a specialist. This position will cover public OPD and OT, assisting with the increasing demand for ophthalmic care within the catchment area for the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH). This role will also be responsible for carrying out audits required for the Department.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- To develop clinical proficiency, through patient management and pathways.
- Graded support towards autonomous operating ability.
- To be involved in educational and supervisory support to the junior ophthalmology registrars, residents as well as medical students.
- Participate in the Ophthalmology Outpatient clinics at RBWH and associated hospitals/facilities to help manage new and review OPD patients, including post-operative care.
