About the role
In this pivotal role, you will provide operational leadership across a large and complex service, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality and sustainable healthcare. Working in close partnership with the Executive Director IMES, clinical leaders, and the broader executive team, you will drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement aligned with RBWH's vision as a world-class tertiary and quaternary health service.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- The Operations Director IMES reports directly to the ED IMES and within this capacity is responsible for working operationally with multidisciplinary executive leadership teams on IMES strategic objectives portfolio. This leadership includes understanding, assessing and being accountable for the impact of change on interdependent services within a complex managerial environment.
- Provide leadership, direction and support for the development, implementation and evaluation of contemporary and innovative models of care that support multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated tertiary, specialised services across the continuum for clinical departments within IMES.
- The Operations Director IMES is required to undertake other executive secondments/higher duties as relevant, including for the Executive Director IMES role.
- The Operations Director IMES is expected to utilise contemporary human resource management principles including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination and Queensland Health's Code of Conduct.
