About us:

Central Queensland Health delivers comprehensive physiotherapy services across all stages of life, supporting patients during acute hospital admissions, throughout recovery and rehabilitation, and within specialist outpatient services.

Our physiotherapists work across a diverse range of hospital and community settings throughout Rockhampton, Gladstone, Emerald, Biloela and the Capricorn Coast, making a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of Central Queensland communities.

About the role:

  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy services across acute, sub-acute, community, ambulatory and paediatric settings to improve patient health, function and quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to provide person-centred care and support coordinated service delivery for patients and their families.
  • Apply and develop clinical expertise, progressively managing more complex cases with increasing independence while receiving professional supervision and support.
  • Contribute to service delivery, education and workforce development through caseload management, student supervision, mentoring, and delegation to Allied Health Assistants, including participation in weekend, public holiday and on-call services.

About you:

  • Hold a recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), including a current practising certificate.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services relevant to the work unit.
  • Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication skills to build positive relationships with patients, families, caregivers and stakeholders.
  • Apply clinical reasoning and decision-making skills to manage routine caseloads, prioritise workloads and deliver safe, evidence-based care.
  • Show a commitment to ongoing professional development, lifelong learning, research and continuous improvement to support clinical excellence and best-practice service delivery.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.89 p.h.
  • An hourly rate between $54.60 - $73.24 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
