About us:
The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.
The Adult Community Health Service multidisciplinary team works closely with acute services and Primary Care including General Practice and many other non-Government services to enable clients to better self-manage their health.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will:
- Undertake duties of a complex and varied nature with clinical decisions based on valid and reliable evidence and is recognised as a reference point for other clinicians in the team.
- Perform a majority of tasks and duties with a high degree of independence.
- Exercise independent professional decision–making and judgement on a day–to–day basis and provide professional advocacy beyond routine practice.
- Develop and promote the Physiotherapy role through accountable multidisciplinary team involvement, care planning and delivering in-service professional education in liaison with Physiotherapy Clinical Lead.
