Scenic Shores State School is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and community.

This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours) split shift. School cleaners play a vital role in the school community through high standards of cleaning practices and keeping the appearance of the school at a high standard.

It is the responsibility of school cleaners to deliver a clean and hygienic learning environment for all students. If you have an eye for detail and take pride in your work, we'd love to hear from you!

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

As the Cleaner, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support.

Must have knowledge of acceptable standards of cleaning, work ethic and pride in own work.

Must have positive and collaborative motivation.

Prior and relevant experience in a similar role desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning various areas and items, maintaining a high standard of hygiene in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Security - Activating and disarming school security systems as required. Locking and unlocking buildings.
  • Liaison - Liaise with Principal/Business Manager concerning purchase and/or replacement of cleaning materials. Reporting security, safety, damage concerns to the Principal/Business Manager or Schools Officer (Facilities and/or Grounds).
