South Coast Region, Program Delivery and Operations, is seeking a highly capable Principal Human Resources Advisor to lead the delivery of strategic and operational human resource services across a large and dynamic region.

In this key leadership role, you will lead a team of HR professionals to provide consistent, high-quality HR support and services. As the Principal HR advisor within the region, you will partner with the Regional Leadership Team to provide expert  advice on complex workforce matters, including employee relations, workforce planning, organisational development and capability uplift.

You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering workforce strategies that support current and future business needs, while ensuring alignment with departmental frameworks, policies and legislative requirements. Your ability to interpret complex information, apply sound judgement and provide clear, practical advice will be essential to success in this role. 

Key responsibilities include:
•  Leading and managing a regionally dispersed HR team to deliver consistent and effective HR services.
•  Providing expert advice to senior stakeholders on workforce planning and organisational development initiatives.
•  Managing complex and sensitive employee relations matters, ensuring appropriate and timely resolution.
•  Driving the development and implementation of workforce strategies, programs and capability initiatives.
•  Ensuring strong governance practices across HR functions, including recruitment, establishment management and case management.
•  Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support positive workforce outcomes.

•  Provides clear, well-reasoned advice on complex issues, supported by sound  judgement and analysis.
•  Communicates effectively and is able to build understanding and achieve outcomes across a diverse range of stakeholders.
•  Builds and maintains strong working relationships that support collaboration and positive workforce outcomes.
•  Demonstrates accountability, professionalism and a strong commitment to governance and risk management.
•  Has the ability to lead teams and deliver outcomes in a complex and changing environment.
