Queensland's passenger rail network is undergoing significant transformation in response to unprecedented growth and emerging demands. In the next decade, various large rail infrastructure investment projects and system enhancements will be delivered which will change the way people move. To ensure a co-ordinated approach in the delivery of this large rail infrastructure pipeline, TMR has established a Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office.

As the Temp Senior Advisor (Governance and Project Assurance) you will be a leader in developing and implementing governance and assurance activities to support the successful delivery of the project.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders in relation to the preparation of Change Control papers and the coordination and management of meetings and minutes.
• Synthesise monthly reporting from the Contractor, Contract Administrator and Rail Independent Certifier, identifying key issues for consideration by the Project Leadership Team; collate and summarise status updates, issues and opportunities for inclusion in reporting to General Manager.
• Support the preparation of correspondence, minutes, briefs, submissions, reports, updates or statements to Federal and State Government agencies.
• Support the identification, analysis and reporting of risk and compliance issues for the project.
• Facilitate and undertake the timely preparation of high-quality governance, reporting and change management plans, processes and workflows by integrating, analysing and reporting on information across the project including emerging trends and issues.
• Provide specialist advice to key stakeholders in establishing and maintaining governance and compliance methods and tools for their business area and support the Project or RIDO where required in relation to governance issues.
• Methodically interrogate systems to source information, ensuring the credibility of reports and resulting evidence.
• Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with discipline leads across the project team and wider department to ensure integration with other reporting processes and a best practice approach.
• Contribute to the prioritisation, management and delivery of set tasks and activities, with an emphasis on meeting deadlines within quality, cost and time constraints.
• Encourage and actively promote a proactive, performance focused culture within the team. Actively participate in performance conversations to build and support an environment of continual improvement.

Highly Desirable:
• 3 - 5 years of experience working in a project governance environment or major transport infrastructure project delivery would be highly regarded.
