About the Role
As the Head of Department Contemporary Teaching & Learning you will play an integral role in curriculum leadership and developing the quality of teaching and learning by nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
- You will strategically seek and implement activities and opportunities for staff and students to engage in identified needs noted through your implementation of the cycles of Collegial Engagement, linking these to the school's Annual Implementation Plan to foster collaborative professional learning.
- You will provide leadership and shape the delivery of Theory of Knowledge (TOK) through your active development and support for the TOK Coordinator position and line manage the Language & Literature and Music educators to ensure academic data is maintained, analysed and shared to enhance achievement of our school priority goals.
- Your opportunity will also include mentoring and line management of the Learning Management System (MyQA) Coordinator to drive innovations in MyQA to support the International Baccalaureate principles of academic integrity in an evolving technological landscape.
- You will chair the Gifted and Talented Highly Capable Committee, review the Gifted and Talented Highly Capable Action Plan annually and coordinate the implementation and intent of the Plan across our school community.

- You will have demonstrated teaching competence and capacity to provide excellent curriculum leadership within a high-performing International Baccalaureate State Secondary School committed to academic distinction and globally focussed learning.
- You will possess demonstrated strong interpersonal skills grounded in a strengths approach to nurture productive relationships within and beyond the QAHS community through data-evidenced contributions to the strategic vision of the school.
