About us:
Renal dialysis services across the Cairns Hospital and Hinterland Health Service (CHHHS) operate as a hub and spoke model. Cairns Hospital is a level 5 facility classified by the Clinical Services Capabilities Framework (CSCF) and is the service hub. The satellite units are the spokes which consist of the Northern Cluster (Mossman, Atherton, and Smithfield satellite units), the Southern Cluster (Innisfail, Edmonton, and Yarrabah satellite units) and Cairns Private. All 7 satellite units are classified as CSCF level 3 services.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will….
- Participate in incident investigation and quality improvements to promote safe and/or rectify unsafe practice.
- Be accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in collaboration with individuals, peers, and the healthcare team to achieve goals and positive health outcomes across the health continuum.
- Support nursing practice and learning experiences by providing in service teaching, orientation, and preceptorship for the nursing team.
