Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant within the Drug and Alcohol Brief Intervention Team (DABIT), you will provide advanced clinical expertise, leadership and consultancy across Addiction Services, supporting patients, families and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

  • Provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist nursing expertise in alcohol and other drug services, including assessment, care planning, consultation and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, Nurse Unit Managers and Nurse Educators to drive safe, evidence-based and person-centred care across emergency and community settings.
  • Lead quality improvement, clinical governance, education and workforce development initiatives that support excellence in Addiction Services practice.

About you:

You are an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse with a passion for improving outcomes for people experiencing substance use issues and a commitment to clinical excellence.

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in addiction, alcohol and other drug services, with the ability to provide high-level consultation and clinical leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence practice and lead change within multidisciplinary environments.
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, education and the ongoing development of both self and others.
