Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse within the Peri-operative Department at Redland Hospital, you will provide advanced Scrub/Scout nursing care while delivering clinical leadership, education and support to the broader healthcare team. You will also:

  • Provide expert clinical assessment, planning, coordination and delivery of specialised perioperative Scrub/Scout nursing care for patients with complex needs.
  • Lead and support nursing teams through effective clinical decision-making, shift coordination, mentoring and professional guidance.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, risk management activities and the implementation of best-practice standards.
  • Support education, clinical facilitation and professional development opportunities while promoting evidence-based practice and positive patient outcomes.

About you:

We are seeking experienced perioperative nurses who combines advanced clinical expertise with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for delivering person-centred care. You have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with demonstrated advanced Scrub/Scout perioperative experience.
  • Strong clinical leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate care in complex and fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, quality improvement, education and maintaining contemporary perioperative nursing practice.
