About the work unit / facility
The Townsville University Hospital Physiotherapy Department sits within the Allied Health Services Division and is led by a physiotherapist. Services are delivered across the continuum of care to a broad range of patients in inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
The department operates a 24-hour service, supported by on-call and weekend rosters. Physiotherapists work across diverse clinical areas including intensive care, acute medical and surgical, musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, oncology, rural facilities, women's and children's services, and community health.
Junior staff have opportunities to rotate across clinical areas, supported by strong supervision and clinical support structure

- Base salary range: $73.12 - $76.30 p.h. (HP5)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior clinical role within neonatal and paediatric physiotherapy at Townsville University Hospital. You will deliver specialised physiotherapy services across neonatal and paediatric care, working with patients and families in a dynamic tertiary hospital environment.
In this role, you will provide clinical leadership to the paediatric physiotherapy team, coordinating service delivery and driving high standards of care. You will play a key role in shaping and maintaining clinical excellence, while supporting and mentoring staff within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
You will also contribute advanced clinical expertise and advice to clinicians, managers and patients across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. Your input will support service planning, delivery and evaluation, ensuring high-quality, family-centred care across neonatal and paediatric services.
Requirements
- Possession of a qualification in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Significant professional development and experience relevant to the physiotherapy management of Paediatrics and Neonatology.
