This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

Who We Are:

Our school is located in the South-West Queensland hub of Charleville, situated on the banks of the Warrego River approximately 780 kilometres west of Brisbane.

Built in 1961, Charleville State High School was opened on 21 July 1962 and over the years has been lovingly maintained along with the addition of a range of buildings and facilities.

Charleville State High School promotes participation, responsibility and achievement for all through a positive approach to learning and behaviour.

We work hand-in-hand with our local community in encouraging students to embrace the future through innovative educational partnerships.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met.
  • Attend to/or arrange repairs and maintenance within the school.
  • Provide basic maintenance of school equipment.
  • Laise with school staff, tradespersons and visitors to our school.
  • Support the Schools Officer, Grounds when necessary, and work as a team when required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team. or independently.
