Join our team and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, attractive and well-presented school environment. As the Schools Officer, Grounds, you will be responsible for the upkeep of school grounds, gardens, ovals and outdoor sporting facilities, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard.
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual who can work independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively with staff, contractors and visitors, and demonstrate strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping or facility operations will be highly regarded.

About the Role:
As the Schools Officer, Grounds you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of grounds care and support to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.
You will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard; follow set instructions; and have independence to perform a variety of day-to-day services that are routine in nature. However, the role receives regular supervision when undertaking duties that are non-routine in nature.
Work jointly with Facilities Officer when required. This position reports directly to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Maintain school grounds, ovals, gardens and outdoor sporting facilities to a high standard.
- Operate, maintain and arrange servicing of grounds care equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements at all times.
- Attend to and coordinate repairs and maintenance of applicable school facilities and equipment.
- Liaise effectively with school staff, tradespeople and visitors.
- Coordinate waste disposal, grounds improvement projects and the management of supplies and materials.
- Assist with agricultural and field laboratory activities where required.
