Your role:

Reporting to the Technical Delivery Manager, the purpose of this role is to support the delivery of a large-scale ICT migration, with a specific focus on coordinating the logistics for migration activities across a large geographic area.  This is your opportunity to provide expert technical advice whilst ensuring alignment with contemporary Information Management (IM) Information Communication Technology (ICT) frameworks.

 

We are looking for an ICT professional with experience leading a large-scale statewide ICT migration, knowledge and experience of existing Queensland Health (QH) systems and processes, including SCCM and Active Directory, and demonstrated experience in workstation replacement is highly desirable.

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience:

  • Experience in the following technology domains to provide technical advice and support of enterprise ICT services in a large customer focused organization. VMware Technology Stack (vSAN, vSphere, NSX, Horizon), Backup & Monitoring tools, Scripting and Automation, Microsoft Technology Stack (Server, SQL, AD, DNS, DHCP).
  • High level of proficiency and advance skills with scripting languages such as PowerShell and PowerCLI is desirable.
  • Experience in the design, publication, implementation, compliance and delivery of technical solutions to industry best practice frameworks for large scale, complex IM/ICT program/project(s), preferably in the health care industry (SFIA Skill: ITMG: Level 5, HSIN: Level 4)
  • Experience designing systems and providing expert knowledge in relevant design standards, techniques and methods and tools for large scale complex organisations (SFIA Skill: DESN: Level 4, METL: 5)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and promote Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes based on the ITIL framework, primarily incident / problem / change / release / configuration management. (SFIA Code: ITMG 6, USUP 5; CHMG 5)
  • Anticipates and is responsive to customer and stakeholder needs and expectations; takes personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work; shows initiative and does what is required. (NHS Collaborative Working & Drive for Improvement)
  • Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS Effective and Strategic influencing - SFIA Code RLMT 5)
  • Proven ability to meet service delivery targets and implement quantifiable service improvements by managing workloads, priorities and working unsupervised (NHS Drive for Results)
  • Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of technical requirements within a complex IM/ICT environment.
  • Ability to work individually and within a high-performance team with time critical and financially constrained tasks and complex deliverables by providing guidance and supervision of other team members and project resources. (SFIA: PRMG5) (NHS Self-Management) (NHS Collaborative Working)
