Your new role:

As the Clinical Midwife Consultant within Midwifery Group Practice, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and expert consultancy to support safe, high-quality and evidence-based maternity care across the continuum. Working closely with midwifery leaders, multidisciplinary teams and community partners, you will drive service excellence and support innovative models of care.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and support Midwifery Group Practice services delivering continuity of care models.
  • Drive quality improvement, clinical governance and evidence-based midwifery practice.
  • Provide expert clinical leadership, mentorship and workforce development.
  • Partner with women, families, First Nations Health Workers and multidisciplinary teams to improve maternity outcomes.

About you:

You are an experienced and passionate midwifery leader with advanced clinical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional women-centred care.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in Midwifery Group Practice or continuity of care models.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring, coaching and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated capability in quality improvement, clinical governance and service redesign.
  • A commitment to culturally safe, evidence-based care and positive consumer experiences.

Logan Hospital:

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
