Rangers ensure that Queensland’s national parks, state forests and reserves are protected, accessible & valued by all Queenslanders
The Principal Ranger is responsible for overseeing the management of approximately 1,587,040 hectares of parks and forests. The primary purpose of this position is to provide high-level support to the Regional Director by leading and coordinating the delivery of operational programs across the West region. These programs encompass key areas such as fire & pest management, natural resource management, built assets, visitor management, cultural heritage, compliance and safety.
The role ensures the efficient and effective use of resources while adhering to legislative requirements and aligning with Divisional and Regional Business Plans.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and team management skills are essential for this role.
