Industry Liaison Officer - Beerwah State High School
North Coast Region - School and Regional Operations and Performance Division
As an Industry Liaison Officer, you will promote and market the benefits of the school’s technical education model to employers and key stakeholders, positioning School‑Based Apprenticeships as a preferred career pathway for students across the region. You will build and maintain strong relationships with employers, training providers, and apprenticeship support agencies, creating partnerships that connect students with real employment opportunities. A key focus of the role is forming meaningful links between the school and industry to support students as they transition into work and make informed, effective career decisions.
This position is a permanent part-time (0.83 FTE) for 60 hours per fortnight.

About the Role
Your Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Source Australian School Based Apprenticeships (ASBA) opportunities for prospective students by actively seeking opportunities for student placements in industry and potential School Based Apprenticeships.
- Promote and market the benefits of the school's technical model to potential employers and other stakeholders and position School Based Apprenticeships as a career pathway preference for students within the region.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers and apprenticeship support agencies.
- Form connections and develop partnerships between school and employers that will assist students to transition to employment and make effective career choices
