About the Team

The Critical Care team provides highly specialised clinical services, including Emergency Department, Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine, Anaesthetics, Cardiac Surgery and Cardiology Services, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), CHQ Retrievals Service, Simulation Training Optimising Resuscitation for Kids (STORK) and Queensland Interdisciplinary Paediatric Persistent Pain Service. The team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced and complex healthcare environment, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of critical and elective services across the hospital.

About the Role

The Program Manager – QCH Equipment Replacement is responsible for leading and managing the safe, coordinated delivery of multiple large-scale, high value equipment replacement and upgrade projects within a highly complex, high stakes fully operational paediatric hospital environment at Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH). Working in close partnership with Divisional Leadership Teams across the Divisions of Surgery and Perioperative Services and Critical Care, this role will lead the planning, prioritisation and sequencing of concurrent projects valued at over $40 million over approximately 4 years. The position ensures delivery is achieved on time and within budget, while minimising disruption to multiple critical clinical service delivery areas (Operating Theatres, Medical Imaging, Cardiac Catheter Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab), elective surgery waiting lists and activity-based funding (ABF) performance.

This is a senior coordination and leadership role requiring strong program oversight, stakeholder engagement and disciplined project governance in a high-risk, high-acuity clinical setting.
