Your Opportunity
As the Manager, QTAC Strategy & Student Conversion you will:
- Lead the statewide QTAC admissions pipeline to maximise demand, offers and conversion for priority courses.
- Provide data-led insights, forecasting and reporting on offer rounds and funnel performance to guide decisions and actions.
- Build strong relationships with QTAC and internal stakeholders to enable consistent, compliant and customer-focused admissions practice.
This position reports to the Campaign Manager.
This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 30 June 2027 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Mount Gravatt, however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the statewide QTAC admissions pipeline (applications to enrolments) and optimise conversion outcomes aligned to priority courses and growth targets.
- Manage QTAC offer-round performance reporting, including funnel metrics, trends, forecasting and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, performance packs and agreed data definitions to support consistent statewide reporting.
- Provide timely insights and recommendations to marketing, regions and senior stakeholders to improve demand and conversion outcomes.
- Partner with marketing to align campaign activity, CRM journeys and communications to key offer-round and conversion moments.
- Coordinate with regional teams to improve local conversion performance and drive a consistent statewide approach to QTAC outcomes.
- Act as the primary liaison with QTAC, coordinating day-to-day engagement and ensuring effective issue resolution and continuous improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement and test-and-learn approaches to uplift funnel performance and customer outcomes.
- Provide statewide governance and coordination of QTAC admissions processes to ensure consistent, compliant practice.
- Manage, lead and develop the team, including planning, prioritisation and performance development.
- Develop and maintain policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures supporting QTAC admissions and related systems.
- Monitor external trends and policy changes across tertiary admissions and advise on implications for TAFE Queensland.
- Represent TAFE Queensland in relevant forums and committees and provide strategic advice on admissions matters.
- Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
- Demonstrated success in leading data-led performance reporting and insights (dashboards, forecasting and actionable recommendations) in a complex environment.
- Proven ability to analyse offer-round and funnel performance to influence decisions and outcomes.
- Proven capability to plan and optimise conversion activity across a pipeline/funnel, applying test-and-learn and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with marketing and campaign functions to align timing, messaging and channels to key conversion moments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across central and regional teams to deliver consistent statewide approaches and outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability in providing governance and developing guidelines and standard operating procedures to ensure compliant and consistent admissions practice.
Highly Desirable Requirements
- Experience in marketing, admissions and/or campaign environments.
- Experience with QTAC or tertiary admissions.
- CRM and marketing automation experience (e.g. Marketo) and/or customer journey optimisation.
