Your new role:
As the Executive Support Officer for the Division of Surgery, you will provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to senior nursing leadership while acting as a key point of contact for staff, patients and external stakeholders. Working within a dynamic surgical environment, you will help coordinate operations, support recruitment and payroll processes, manage executive schedules and contribute to the effective functioning of the division. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing confidential executive support, diary management and meeting coordination for senior nursing leaders
- Preparing agendas, recording minutes and supporting divisional meetings and committees
- Coordinating recruitment activities including interview scheduling and selection administration
- Supporting payroll documentation and workforce administration processes
About you:
You are a highly organised and professional administrator who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys supporting leaders to achieve operational excellence. You will bring:
- Strong administrative, diary management and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities across diverse stakeholder groups
- Proven ability to prioritise competing demands, work autonomously and meet deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with experience using databases, spreadsheets and administrative systems

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
