Your new role:
These are exciting leadership opportunities to drive strategic health funding initiatives and provide expert advice that supports service optimisation, performance improvement, and financial sustainability across Metro South Health. You will:
- Lead and manage the Health Funding Analysis Team, providing strategic direction and oversight of funding and performance outcomes for hospital services across Metro South.
- Partner with executive leaders, clinicians, and finance teams to provide expert advice on activity-based funding, resource allocation, performance trends, and funding optimisation opportunities.
- Deliver complex analysis, forecasting, benchmarking, and reporting to support organisational decision-making and ensure compliance with health funding requirements.
- Develop innovative business intelligence solutions and data-driven strategies that enhance service planning, performance monitoring, and financial sustainability.
About you:
We are seeking experienced and influential leaders who combine strong analytical capability with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for improving healthcare outcomes. You have:
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop strategy, solve complex problems, and drive organisational performance through effective planning and decision-making.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence executive, clinical, and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience within a healthcare environment, including funding, performance management, costing, activity-based funding, or health data analytics.
- Advanced analytical and technical expertise, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify improvement opportunities, and translate insights into meaningful operational and strategic outcomes.

About the Health Funding Analysis Service
The Health Funding Analysis service provides information and analysis to assist with:
- Activity Based Funding,
- Monitoring activity performance and trends in service delivery,
- Technical efficiencies, funding compliance and improvements,
- Supporting quality improvement activities,
- Planning new services, and
- Comparisons of activity for benchmarking between services
