Your role

Manage, integrate, monitor and improve business services across MAIS-Q and lead the delivery of projects and actions that drive the development and implementation of enabling strategies and plans, ensuring business continuity, governance and access that meet the agency needs now and into the future, ensuring programs of work are evaluated using robust benefits realisation and lessons learned.

Provide authoritative, specialist advice and recommendations across the cross-functional areas of responsibility and effectively partner with Manager Workforce Services to deliver an integrated workplace health, safety and wellbeing function across the agencies.

Lead the delivery of a range of business services and operational quality improvement projects/ initiatives, providing leadership and learning opportunities for team members, including cadets and interns, as a pipeline area for MAIS-Q future workforce, whilst developing and maintaining a safe, secure and positive work environment for all.

Drive the delivery of policies/procedures, educational resources, compliance reports, workplans and business cases as required.

Influence, advise and support senior management and the broader People, Culture and Communication team on strategic and operational matters with insights and analysis relating to business services risks, opportunities and support that enables MAIS-Q organisational objectives and delivery of outcomes to a range of stakeholders.

Represent MAIS-Q interests at inter-agency and client meetings with a range of specialised service providers ensuring activities and commitments are planned, delivered and effectively communicated.

About you
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong commitment to shared values, and a broad skillset that includes:

  • Extensive proven experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide, cross-functional business services programs.
  • Extensive experience in change management and a personal drive to continuous improvement and innovative practices.
  • Strong communication, coaching, mentoring and training skills in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Collaborative, autonomous, flexible and agile working style and approach.
  • Leadership and management experience commensurate with program leadership.
