Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse within the Mental Health Emergency Department team, you will provide advanced clinical care to consumers presenting with acute mental health concerns, ensuring timely assessment, intervention, and recovery-focused treatment. Working autonomously and collaboratively with Emergency Department and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mental health services and supporting positive consumer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments for consumers presenting in crisis.
  • Provide expert clinical leadership, care coordination, and evidence-based interventions within a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
  • Support multidisciplinary teams through specialist advice regarding mental health care, risk management, and Mental Health Act 2016 legislation.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, education, research activities, and service development initiatives.
