Marsden State High School is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented AO3 Administration Officer to join our Finance Team for Term 3, with the possibility of extension. This role provides administrative and financial support across a busy school environment.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

Your Role

  • Manage and support school support staff operations, including recruitment, induction, training, injury management, workforce planning, compliance monitoring, and staff records maintenance.
  • Interpret and apply departmental policies, legislation, and procedures while ensuring compliance requirements, mandatory training, and workforce obligations are met.
  • Assist with supervision of support staff by monitoring workloads, identifying skill gaps, supporting professional development, and escalating performance concerns where required.
  • Coordinate staffing administration, including relief and contract placements, Blue Card processes, leave management, timesheets, Accumulated Days Off (ADO) arrangements, and staff entitlement advice.
  • Support financial operations through data entry, budget monitoring, purchasing processes, financial record maintenance, payment plans, Centerpay administration, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with resource, asset, facility, and maintenance management, including stocktakes, compliance inspections, facility hire, capital works support, and coordination of maintenance and minor works projects.
