Your new role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist in Cardiology to join the Logan Hospital Cardiology team. In this role, you will provide specialist inpatient and outpatient cardiac care while contributing to the ongoing development of a growing and innovative service. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will support advanced cardiac imaging services, supervise and mentor junior medical staff, and contribute to teaching, research, quality improvement and service development initiatives.

  • Performing and interpreting advanced cardiac investigations including transthoracic, trans-oesophageal and stress echocardiography
  • Contributing expertise in structural heart imaging and peri-procedural imaging guidance for transcatheter interventions
  • Collaborating with tertiary hospitals and multidisciplinary teams to support complex patient care pathways
  • Supervising, teaching and mentoring registrars, resident medical officers and medical students

About you:

You are a skilled and compassionate Cardiologist who is committed to delivering outstanding patient-centred care. You thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment, enjoy mentoring the next generation of clinicians and are passionate about advancing cardiology services through innovation, education and research.

  • Extensive experience managing complex cardiology patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Expertise in echocardiography, including stress and trans-oesophageal echocardiography
  • Experience in structural heart imaging, with peri-procedural TOE guidance for transcatheter interventions highly regarded
  • Desirable experience or credentialing in CT Coronary Angiography (CTCA) and understanding of Cardiac MRI
