The purpose of this role is to provide efficient and effective mortuary and pathology support services, assisting with mortuary operations, autopsies, specimen management and laboratory activities while ensuring the dignity, respect and confidentiality of deceased persons is maintained at all times.
What you'll do
In this role you will assist with mortuary operations and the management of deceased persons, support pathologists during hospital and coronial autopsies, prepare bodies for viewing, identification and transfer, undertake administrative and specimen management activities, utilise laboratory and mortuary information systems, liaise with Queensland Police Service, funeral directors and healthcare professionals, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, maintain safe and compliant work practices, and support the delivery of respectful and professional mortuary services.
