Your new role:
As an Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will provide expert clinical and consultancy services across a diverse range of molecular imaging and nuclear medicine specialties. You will play a key role in clinical leadership, workforce development, research and service improvement while delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver advanced Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging services including PET/CT, PET/MRI, SPECT/CT, radiopharmacy and general nuclear medicine.
- Apply advanced clinical judgement to assess and manage complex patient presentations.
- Lead the development and implementation of clinical protocols, procedures and best-practice standards.
- Provide expert clinical advice and mentorship to nuclear medicine technologists and support staff.
- Support education, training and competency development across the department.
About you:
You are an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist with advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership capability and a passion for innovation. You thrive in complex clinical environments and enjoy supporting the development of others while contributing to research and service excellence.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Advanced clinical expertise across Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging services.
- Extensive experience in PET/CT, SPECT/CT, radiopharmacy and complex nuclear medicine procedures.
- Strong ability to apply evidence-based practice to complex clinical decision-making.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring, coaching and developing staff.
- High-level communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
